Over on IMAM, the lovely Crimson and Clovher challenged me to do a look with Mad Lab’s Aventurine and Dawn Eyes’ Inamorata. Inamorata is a soft sparkly white and Aventurine is a dark green, so the combination immediately made me thing of Christmas, with evergreen trees and snow, so I decided to add a bright red lip for a full out Christmas look!
I decided to try a slightly less upturned wing shape. I can’t decide if I like it or not. I might try something in between this and my usual super high flick next time.
I love the combination of red lips and black glasses. I also included a pre-gloss picture of the look with matte lips. I think it’s more festive with the shiny lips.

For this look I applied Inamorata, a sheer sparkly white, all over my freshly primed lids. I mixed Aventurine, a deep green, with superstar serum and applied the mixture as liner. Instead of my usual strong upwards flick, I kept the end of the line pointed more downwards. I curled my lashes and applied mascara. I put on my foundation, concealer and powder and applied a rosy cheek stain with my fingers. I finished with a matte red liquid lipstick topped with a sparkly red gloss.
The white and green shadows went together so easily, it didn’t feel like much of a challenge! But I love that this look gave me an excuse to wear my Viva Glam Rihanna lip gloss. I think it’s a super pretty sparkly red, but I so rarely have occasion to wear it. I’m hoping I can work it into more looks before next December! It’s too pretty to keep just for the holidays. However, my husband pretty much hates it, so maybe not. Do you have colors you like that your SO isn’t into?
